Gone is the over-ripe, in-your-face style of so many Australian Shiraz wines. In its place is a medium bodied wine wrapped in a silky texture that is a revelation of what Australian Shiraz can be when made by one of the great winemakers of Syrah.

2001 is unquestionably a standout year and this wine is a powerful and refined example. In descriptive terms, it explodes with cassis, black cherry and chocolate aromas. In body, it is just pure velvet.
